A Diocesan Learning Party
august 28-29
dumas bay center
federal way, wa
learn how to:
–share with others your congregation’s unique identity
–identify and connect with the people you want to attract
–turn your own personal social-media presence into an evangelism tool
–select and create images that tell your story far better than words alone
–take the next step in your technical skills, whether you’re fluent or just beginning
Join with congregational leaders from around the Diocese in a conversation on being church and being Christian in the social media age. Participants learn about evangelism and social media through interactive exercises, facilitated discussion, and didactic teaching. You will leave with both a greater understanding of how evangelism works in an Episcopal setting as well as how to use social media to reach out to your community and skillfully share your identity as Episcopal Christians.
The workshop runs from 11am Friday morning to Saturday at 3pm. You will stay overnight at Dumas Bay Retreat Centre in Federal Way. The cost for the workshop is $75, including lodging, meals and coursework. Financial assistance is available.
