The Most Reverend Melissa M. Skelton, Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Providence of British Columbia and Yukon in the Anglican Church of Canada, founded the College for Congregational Development during her nine year tenure as Rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Seattle. During this time she also served as the Canon for Congregational Development for the Episcopal Diocese of Olympia. Prior to coming to Seattle Bishop Melissa served as a Congregational Development Consultant in the Episcopal Diocese of Maine and as a Trainer for The Church Development Institute for over ten years. During that time Melissa was Rector of Trinity Church, Castine, Maine and the principle in an independent consulting practice. Prior to this she served as Vice President and Leader of System Development at Tom’s of Maine and Vice President of Administration at The General Theological Seminary where she also led The College for Bishops. In addition to her M.Div., Melissa holds an MA in English, an MBA, a Certificate in Organization Development from National Training Labs, and a Certificate from The Church Development Institute.
