The Rev. Canon Marda Steedman Sanborn

Marda serves the Diocese of Olympia as Canon to the Ordinary. Prior to her appointment she was the Rector of St. James, Kent. She completed the Diocese’s Leadership Training Skills institute including workshops in group process, design skills and organization. She has beena trainer and consultant for the Diocese since 2003 and is a member of the Consulting Network and has a certificate from the College of Congregational Development. in addition, Marda has a BA in history from the UW, and MEd in education of the deaf from the UW and a doctorate from Seattle University with an emphasis in organization and development.
